Meet Bryan Simpson
Hook Creative Hires Five Pound Apparel Founder Bryan Simpson
Bryan’s title will be Director of Business Development
SPRINGFIELD, MO | July 1, 2017 – After selling Five Pound Apparel, Bryan Simpson has accepted a position with Hook Creative as the Director of Business Development.
Hook’s founder, Josh Stewart says, “Bryan brings a unique skill set to the team. He grew Five Pound Apparel from an idea in his college living room to a thriving local business. His experience with growing a business, creating systems, and building a team will be an incredible asset to Hook.”
After selling Five Pound Apparel and a short period of training the new owners, Bryan took a brief hiatus in Costa Rica where he wrecked his rental car while lost on an unmarked jungle road in the middle of the night. Everyone was okay, the rental car wasn’t.
For Bryan the career move brings him full circle:
“I was introduced to Hook in 2010 when we were in the process of opening Five Pound Apparel. Josh Stewart, the founder of Hook, and his father Dan were instrumental in the branding and identity of the store, which I believe was a critical part of our success. Our relationship continued when Hook produced the Missouri is Awesome video which has been viewed over 500,000 times.
When the opportunity to work with Hook was presented it felt like a perfect fit. I have a great working relationship with the team and I’m excited to work with some incredible clients.”
As Director of Business Development, Bryan will be responsible for lead qualifying, developing internal business processes and strategic growth planning.
